What's new at Cultural Terrain . . . .

  My skins sculptures have recently been exhibited at the Fuller Craft Museum and the Kentucky Museum of Art and in a solo exhibition, Soft Strategies, at the San Luis Obispo Art Center. I will have a solo exhibition of these sculptures in 2010 at the Museum of Nebraska Art
  My catalogue essay, Solace and Subversion: Ken Gray Re-Collected was published in conjunction with the exhibition, Communication Engineer: A Ken Gray Retrospective at the Anchorage Museum, Anchorage, Alaska.
  I received the Annis Chaikin Sorensen Award for Distinguised Teaching in the Humanities at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
  I have developed a new interdisciplinary course in creative thinking, Creativity 101, which I am teaching at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I received a Teaching Fellow Award from the Initiative for Teaching and Learning Excellence to develop this course.
  I presented my creativity research, Creativity 101: Visual vs. Verbal Methods of Brainstorming in an Interdisciplinary Foundation Design Course at the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (ISSOTL) Conference in Washington, DC. and this research is also archived online at www.courseportfolio.org.
